Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana
Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji
"Satsang presents beautifully before you how you ought to have the means of perception under your control."
His Holiness Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji is the successor to His Holiness Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji. Presently Mahaswamiji is the Peethadhipathi of Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana Trust and all other branch Trusts, including Sri Jnanakshi Educational Institutions Trust and Sri Rajarajeshwari Charitable Hospital Trust.
Mahaswamiji divinely manifested on the 20th of October 1960. Dharma was the foundation of a happy and fulfilling childhood. Mahaswamiji excelled in every stage of life, in all its activities and expressions. Success was a constant shadow which did not come in the way of life of perfect equanimity.
What is awe-inspiring is that when Mahaswamiji read the Scriptures for the first time, everything resonated completely as His very existence.
Mahaswamiji converses with devotees and seekers of Truth from around the world in their languages.
Meeting the Guru - Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji
Mahaswamiji felt inspired to make His way to Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana. Upon meeting Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji in 1987, Mahaswamiji knew immediately that He had found His Guru and expressed His desire to take Sannyasa. There was not even a trace of doubt in His mind, which was already a reflection of Divine Consciousness.
A Sojourn to North India
Mahaswamiji was asked to wait and in due course was accepted as a disciple. A month later, He was sent to Haridwar to learn Sanskrit and the Scriptures and to serve His Holiness Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Prakashanandji Maharaj, who was then quite advanced in years. Just before He left, Mahaswamiji received the robes of Brahmacharya. He lived in Haridwar and North India for seven-and-a-half years.
Taking up sannyasa
Early in 1989, before the Allahabad Kumbha Mela, Mahaswamiji wrote to Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji seeking initiation into Sannyasa. Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji finally gave Him permission with instructions that the ceremony in Haridwar be conducted with Sri Tiruchi Mahaswamiji as His Guru. In Haridwar, Mahaswamiji kept to Himself and performed His disciplines immaculately. On completing His duties and study, He returned to Sri Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana to serve the Goddess and His Guru.
The Divine Presence of Mahaswamiji serves as guidance to revive the glorious heritage of the Bhartiya Sanskriti where everyone respects one another irrespective of any differences and ultimately attain God in all glory.
